Alex met Damon in New York before the first season of The Vampire Diaries. He compelled her to be with him, and then when things got too dangerous, he compelled her to forget her life and he gave her a new one. He told her name was Alex Landry and that her parents died in a car crash when she was little, and she has been in foster homes. She was running from an abusive foster parent when they met, and now he's looking for her. He told her she knew he would keep her safe, and also that she likes to experiment with girls with his permission. Now he is returning to Mystic Falls with Alex in tow at the beginning of season one for the Vampire Diaires, what will happen when Alex and Nikita run into each other and Alex doesn't know her?
